This DSD course is designed for LVNs or RNs to prepare licensed nurses to become DSD in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or as a CNA instructor.
This course will cover planning, implementing, and evaluating nurse education program. The participant will learn how to develop a course outline, maintain records, create lesson plans, develop training plans, and how to conduct classes or training.

Course Description:
This DSD course is approved by the Board of Registered Nursing (BRN). This course is a twenty-four (24) hour class as required by the CDPH (Title 22, Chapter 2.5) for nurses desiring to be a DSD in a long-term care facility or to be a CNA instructor.
This course qualifies for 24 Hour Contact Hours.
